Walking Dead S05E08 Recap: Coda

It's already mid season time, and our group is now split into four, as one part is headed to the hospital to get back Beth and Carol. Expecting a big shock tonight, Norman Reedus cried, so someone obviously is going to die and my money is on Beth. With Carol semi-back in the fold, Beth's days as Daryl's wingman are numbered. This isn't our first rodeo where the Walking Dead is concerned, and Rick is ready to flip the Rickanator switch at any moment.

Bob's getaway is nearly complete, but in addition to the walkers coming to feast on him, someone is running. Bob tries to cut himself free and it's Rick running by spilling walker guts everywhere. Rick jumps into the closest squad car and tells Bob to stop on his loud speaker, but Bob doesn't stop so Rick hits him. Bob thinks his neck is broken. Rick tells him that it didn't have to be this way, he only had to stop. Bob asks to go back to the hospital, but that's not going to happen. You can't go back. Bob continues to plea, and Rick finally silences him with a bullet, which is pretty nice, considering I'd probably have left him for the walkers.

Gabriel stumbles past a walker filled building, looking over the remains in the yard. He grabs the backpack and finds a bible belonging to Mary B. And Bob's leg from Cannibal camp. He angrily tosses the leg as the walkers break free and Gabriel is forced to head back into the woods. Gabriel goes back to the church, but the walkers are too close for him to get back in by his secret escape hatch. He cries for help, to be let back in. Carl and Michonne start working to undo everything they did to seal themselves inside to keep them all safe. Michonne busts down the door, and Gabriel slips in just in time. Carl fires a few shots to keep the walkers back as Michoone takes up her katanna. Gabriel leads them to the rectory while he holds the door closed and tells them to get out to safety. Dummy, if he was so concerned for their safety he should have just ran away. Michonne, Carl and Judith make it out. Gabriel takes up the rear, surprised that the trio didn't make a run for it when they got out. Michonne has no plans of running. They take out a few walkers at the entrance trapped in the organ pipes, and they seal the ones in the rectory in while resealing the front doors.

The group sits and waits for Rick's return. He comes back, Bob-less. Rick tells Daryl that Bob wouldn't stop. This changes things, it has to. Bob said that Dawn wouldn't negotiate for them, but Dawn also didn't have any love for them. The girl begins talking again. Bob was a good man she claims, but she understands why everything happened. She wants them to try the trade, knowing that its either that or they go in guns blazing. She claims that they don't want that. She knows the good eggs from the bad, and asks to help them. Rick turns his attention to the other man. He asks how much. Dawn will see the trade as a rip off when she learns that Rick killed one of her guys, so its a good thing they're willing to change sides.

In the hospital, Dawn calls to Lamsen, McCarry and Sheppard as she exercises on a stationary bike. No one is answering about the gunfire. Beth asks if something is wrong. Her officers don't always radio back, and she doesn't like it. Beth continues to straighten up her office, and she asks about the picture. It's of Dawn and Hansen. She knows that people talk, but she tells Beth that he was her mentor and friend. People risk their lives every time they go out, and Hansen lost sight of that and he lost the officers. You can't ever lose sight of that, otherwise when you need backup it won't be there, and everyone pays. She reiterates that Hansen lost his way.

Outside things are relatively quiet. Carl asks where Gabriel went. He went to the school he tells them. The doors begin to buckle. They won't hold the walkers in for much longer, and luckily they won't need to. Abraham comes hailing in with his firetruck. Michonne is happy to see the group but a little shocked. Washington isn't happening. She tells Maggie that Beth is alive, and the others went to get her back from the Atlanta hospital. Maggie is overwhelmed with the news, and the group plans to meet up with Rick's group and retrieve their Beth.

In the hospital Beth spies one of the officers getting pushy with an older ward about his lack of mending. He spies Beth and wonders about her sewing skills, but Dawn swoops in to her rescue, claiming that she needs her. Beth sits above the empty elevator shaft looking into it. Dawn tells her that Percy is going to be okay, but nothing is going to be okay. Beth wanted to be alone, and Dawn left her elevator key in the open. Dawn keeps saying that she's doing what it takes just until its all over, but Beth reminds her that it isn't over. This place is what it is, until the end. Dawn points out that she saved Beth twice. Everyone thinks that Joan killed the cop, but Dawn thinks that Beth is the one who killed him. Dawn also helped Carol, and she didn't have to, but wanted to. There's a way that things have to be done around there though. One of the officers overhears it all. He asks what she's going to do, Dawn tells him that its her ward, her call. Fine, but he plans to tell the people the type of person that they're working for. I believe those are fighting words. Dawn reminds him that he doesn't get to threaten her as they both inch closer. People think that Dawn is cracking, and O'Donnell wants to make a change. He turns his back on Dawn and she draws her gun on him. She's nothing like Hansen. She killed him, she was the only one willing. O'Donnell remembers. All he has to do is shout, and all she has to do is claim that he came after her. O'Donnell tries to play the history card. They were rookies together, she knew his wife, she celebrated with cigars at the birth of his children. That's all in the past. Now he's the man beating the elderly over sewing, celebrating with laughs and drinks over the rape of a girl. He tells her that its about holding onto what you have. O'Donnell takes a swing at Dawn, and the two tussle until O'Donnell has Dawn pinned in a choke hold. Beth finally steps up in assistance, but gets knocked back on her tush. Her interference buys Dawn a moment, and she's able to knock O'Donnell back towards the elevator shaft. Beth pushes him down it. Goodbye O'Donnell, you're not likely to be missed.

Beth sleeps by Carol's bedside. Dawn comes it to see her, she tells Beth it's okay to cry. Beth claims that she doesn't cry. Dawn cries too, but she doesn't let the others see it she tells her as she takes a heavy drink from her flask. Beth understands why Dawn covered for her. She wasn't protecting her, but herself. The officers that died were all problems for her, but she didn't have to do the dirty work. That's what happens around here. Dawn realizes that Dr. Edwards used Beth too. Noah is better off on the outside, headed home. Dawn doesn't think that anyone gets to really go home, that he'll be back eventually. People don't get far because they can't and they don't want to. Beth believes that he's going home. Dawn was like Beth when she was younger, no one could tell her anything. She knows that Beth knows Carol, she's not stupid. She knows why Beth is pushing so hard for her, but Dawn is still grateful for what she did. She will remember. Carol starts to stir.

Tyrese sees that Sasha is beating herself up over what happened with Bob #2. She just has no luck with Bobs. She was stupid. Tyrese tells her the name of the man that she killed at the church, and she's surprised. Tyrese and Carol had run into him before, and he told her that he had killed him, but he didn't. He could have done it, and maybe he should have, but he didn't. He reminds her that when they were kids she use to follow him around all the time. Since this happened to both of them, maybe they're still the same. Sasha doesn't think she can be though, no anymore. She looks through her rifle scope. Daryl keeps watch with her, seeing that a cop car is heading towards Rick. Rick introduces himself to the two arriving officers, and he wants to make a proposal. The pair have him lay his weapons down, never once seeing that they're in the rifle sights. He tells them that he has two of their people, and they have two of his. He tells them that he has Sheppard and McCarry, and he wants Beth and Carol the woman they hit with a car recently. They ask if Noah is with them, and Rick tells them that he is. They ask about Lamsen. Rick lies saying that he was attacked by the dead before they could get to him. A walker approaches from behind. They asks where are his people as one of them shoots the walker behind them. Rick tells them that they're close, to radio their people, he'll wait.

Rick and Tyrese bring McCarry and Sheppard into the hospital to make the trade. Beth dresses in her regular clothes, and hides a pair of scissors in her cast. Beth wheels Carol in via wheelchair as they get ready. As Rick arrives, Dawn orders her officers to holster their weapons. Rick order his group to do the same. Its a standoff. Rick tells Dawn that he hasn't harmed her officers. She asks about Lamsen, and he gives her the same story, which the officers back him up on. Dawn agrees to the trade. She turns them over one at a time. Beth and Carol are back safe in the fold. Rick and Dawn are both glad that things worked but she tells him that she just needs Noah back, and then they can leave. Rick isn't happy about that at all. Noah wasn't part of the deal, but Dawn claims that he was he ward, and Beth took his place, since she's losing Beth, she wants Noah back. She says that her officers put their lives on the line looking for him. Noah goes to return to his hell, but Daryl says no. Noah wants to go home, and they plan to help him get there, but Noah sees things going south, and tells them that its okay. He gives Rick back the gun, and prepares to go back. Beth tells him to wait, throwing herself into his arms. He tells her that its okay, and Dawn tells him that she knew he'd be back. Beth finally gets it. She stabs Dawn, and Dawn shoots Beth in the head to everyone's shock, including her own. Daryl retaliates with a quick bullet to Dawn's head. Sheppard calls everyone off. It's over, it was just about Dawn and now it's over. Daryl cries, and now everyone is crying. Rick's group is more than shell shocked. They were so close to getting Beth back. Sheppard tells them that they can stay, they're surviving in the hospital. Rick refuses, he offers anyone who wants to leave the chance to go with them. Abraham, Michonne and the others arrive in Atlanta. They kill the few walkers leading up to the hospital, and they're overjoyed to see Rick and the others until the horror sets in. Daryl is carrying Beth's limp body out of the hospital. Maggie falls to her knees in grief, she thought she was getting her sister back, and then she was taken away all over again.

After the preview for the second half of the season, is another shot of Morgan. He's found Rick's mark. He's found the school and the cannibal camp. The walkers are mostly gone from the area, just one lone one remains instead of the building teaming over with them. Morgan makes his way to the church, now open and abandoned. He goes to the alter, placing a few items there (a bullet, a rabbit's foot and a goo-goo cluster), and lighting a candle as he laughs to himself. The walkers there too are all dead. Lastly he finds the map that Abraham left for Rick, and his message “Sorry I was an asshole. Come to Washington. The new world’s gonna need Rick Grimes.” Morgan's face lights up at his friend's name. If he wasn't looking for Rick before, he definitely is now. The only real question is just how far in the future is Morgan, because a reunion is definitely coming.

While we suspected that Beth was going to die, it was still quite the blow. And the meme remains true. When Daryl Dixon cries we all cry. It's going to be a long wait until Walking Dead comes back.

Walking Dead S05E07 Recap: Crossed

Sasha breaks down some pews for wood. Tyrese and Daryl pull apart the organ. Father Gabriel akss if they plan to take the cross too, but only if they need it. The windows outside are being boarded up. Rick can't go to Atlanta, but they want to get Carol back, Michonne will go. Gabriel continues to be haunted by past sins. Rick says goodbye to Judith, leaving her with Michonne and Carl. That baby is about as safe as she can be, but she's still not happy. Carl and Michonne board up the door, locking them inside with Gabriel. Gabriel scratches at a bloodstain on the floor desperately trying to erase it.

The group heads to retrieve Beth and Carol. Tyrese knows the pain that Sasha is feeling, but she doesn't want to talk about Bob yet, she's not ready.

At the hospital, Beth goes to check in on Carol. She lets the doctor through, and leaves without a word.

Glenn sits with the road ahead. Tara tries to wake up Eugene. No one knows that they're there, and the fire engine is now empty. Glenn wonders if they should go back to the church, but Maggie fears that will only make things worse. Rosita tries a little hard love, and to try to get Abraham to drink, but he rises menacingly. Maggie warns him to sit down, or that she'll put him down, and Abraham complies.

Rick lays out a plan to get inside the hospital. They need to go in quiet and utilize their upperhand. Rick thinks if they strike fast then they can get them outnumbered. Noah knows that the wards will be on their side a well. Tyrese thinks that the plan won't work, there are too many variables that can go wrong. He thinks that capturing a few and doing a trade would be less risky, and less likely to end in a firefight. Rick is sure that his plan will work, fast and effective. Daryl likes Tyrese's plan better. If Officer Dawn is barely holding onto control, then taking a few of her officers will force her to release Beth and Carol without any violence. That's assuming she's sane, but everyone in this world have proven otherwise, and Rick understands that.

Gabriel continues to scrub away at the floor. Carl offers a distraction, to help him defend himself. Gabriel cannot think of murdering anyone else, like they did the Termites. Carl points out that they had no choice, it was kill or be killed. They live in a world that they have to keep moving, no place is safe for long. Gabriel isn't cut out for that world. He goes to lie down.

Beth listens in on Dawn and another officer's plan. They haven't really had any leads on Noah, they're waiting for him to mess up. The officer thinks that they should take Carol off life support. Beth protests. It doesn't take much electricity to keep the ventilators on, no more than what he uses everyday to charge his DVD player. Dawn tells Beth to turn off the machine and take Carol off Dr. Edwards's rotation, if she pulls through on her own, so be it. Beth is upset, but the officer is pleased and leaves. Dawn tells Beth its up to her to save Carol, but she can't rescind her order. They're peace is in constant jeopardy, and she needs to put on a hard front to maintain order. She gives Beth a key to drugs and supplies she never trusted Edwards with. She thought Beth was weak, but she's proven that she isn't. Dawn gets news of gunshots in the distance and sends a patrol to check it out.

There's a creek nearby, so they can at least get some water. Maggie stays behind with Abraham while Tara, Rosita and Glenn head for water. Tara talks to the walkers nonchalantly, and Rosita doesn't like it. The hard truth was that Eugene had one skill, and he used it to keep living. Maggie takes down the ladder and puts it in place over the front of the truck and covers it with a blanket to give Eugene some shade. Maggie tells Abraham that he isn't the only one that lost something today, that it isn't going to get better like this as he sits in the middle of the street still.

Beth goes to see Dr. Edwards. She asks him what medicine he would give the woman in exam room 2 if he could. Dr. Edwards suspects that Beth has the key, but he warns her that if Dawn gave her the key it wasn't out of kindness. He gives her the name of the medication to give Carol the best chance, and wishes her luck.

The stream proves to be murky. Tara wonders if upstream would be clearer. Rosita fashions a natural filter, Eugene taught her this. It'll clear up the water, and then they can boil it. They ask about her back story. She wasn't always with Abraham. He found her in that big truck of his, and then Eugene asked for her help. It was the first time that happened, and she went to help save the world. Glenn spots a fish in the water.

A female officer and a male officer follow the sounds of Noah's gun fire, and run him down. She thought Noah was smarter, as they cuff Noah. Rick signals them from behind. He talks really slow, lets them know that they won't be hurt if they cooperate. The man asks if Rick was a cop, he can tell because of his demeanor, and he was once a cop as well. Another car comes up from behind, and rescues the officers. So much for the element of surprise. They manage to get away, but they take on heavy fire from Rick's group. Rick and the others give chase, the car didn't' make it too far with walker rumble all over the place. They spot the cuffed officers and hurry forward, all except Daryl who is looking for the driver. He combs over the car, before heading to the destroyed FEMA trailer. As he looks in the driving officer tackles Daryl from the side. The officer holds him down as a burnt walker crawls near. Daryl uses another walker's head to beat back the walker before Rick comes to the rescue. Rick holds him in the crosshairs, and only Daryl's soft words keep him from shooting the officer in the face. It didn't go down how they were expecting, but they have their hostage.

Rick's group take their two officers hostages to a warehouse. The woman tells them that Rick's plan is going to get them killed. The plan would work if they had different cops to trade. Dawn is in charge, but she's running the group into the ground, and they're ready for new management. She thinks that Dawn will know that they're looking at a replacement already. They're even willing to take care of Dawn themselves, but the other cop tells her that they aren't willing to do that, and he needs her to shut up. He tells them that they can make it work, but they need to be able to talk to her. He's known her for a long time, and a peaceful resolution is all he wants.

Glenn, Tara and Rosita kill the stuck walkers and stripe them of their clothes to find anything of use. Glenn and Rosita manage to catch a fish. Rosita knows how to clean the fish, and Glenn offers her a place with them no matter where they wind up. Tara finds something in the walker backpack.

Michonne checks on Father Gabriel, worried about him. She knows that everything is new to him, but she wanted to tell him, that the things that they do, are worth it. He already took the machete, and he wants to know what more that she wants from him. She doesn't want anything from him, she just wants to help. He thanks her and closes his door. In his room he has a few boards already pulled from the floor, and he uses the machete to pull loose another.

Beth sneaks a man some strawberries, and he begins choking. As the officers run to help him, she gets the medication that she needs from the cabinent. He sees her pass, and his fit stops. Beth heads straight to Carol's room and administers the Epinephrine. She tells Carol that she's there, but Carol remains asleep.

Tyrese keeps watch while Sasha looks through the contents of the trunk. Sasha catches her sleeve on a crowbar and rips it. She throws it down in anger. Tyrese has some things to say, and she's going to listen. She got the chance to say goodbye to Bob, he felt her love. Sasha thinks that she should have been the one to deliver his doubletap, but Tyrese points out that she still wouldn't have been able to say goodbye, that she let him help her.

Father Gabriel crawls out of the floor boards in the church and gets out. Outside, he immediately steps on a nail, which goes through his shoe. He pulls out the nail, and hobbles away.

The officer tells Rick that Dawn says that she won't make a deal, that she won't compromise, but that she will. No matter what he needs to remember who he's talking to. Rick asks him if he needs anything else, he only asks for water. Rick gives the okay, and he tells him that his name is Bob, which catches Sasha's attention. Rick appreciates his integrity, sees that he's still a cop, but Bob knows he isn't anymore.

Father Gabriel scurries off into the woods, and has a run in with a walker. He does what he has to to survive, and practically body slams the female zombie. Gabriel lifts a rock to finish her, but hesitates when he sees her cross. He can't bring himself to bring it crashing down.

Sasha brings Bob #2 the water. He tells her that he will be okay. When they were bringing him back up there, he saw one of the rotters and he knew. He was set to drive out one of the last group of walkers, but Dawn pulled him off that mission at the last minute, instead the man he knew was among the undead. Sasha tells him to let her help him. She wants him to tell her where he is.

Maggie continues to watch Abraham, who is still kneeling in the road. She offers him some water, but he doesn't answer her. She asks if he wanted her to shoot him. He thought he did, but he didn't. Maggie leaves the water, and they hear Eugene stir. Maggie rushes to check on him, and Abraham picks up the bottle.

The more Glenn thinks about things, maybe it wasn't a complete waste of time. They head back with their water, and fish.

At the warehouse, Sasha takes Bob out to a window where he can see his fallen friend. He points him out, and Sasha takes aim. She asks if he's sure that's him, and Bob smashes Sasha against the window before making a run for it. So much for closure.

Walking Dead S05E05 Recap: Self Help

The bus group is on the road, and Rosita looks over Abraham's grooming. He wonders what life will be like once the world has been put back together. Tara tries to make small talk with Eugene, but he's more distant than usual. Eugene has his mind on what the preacher did. Maggie hopes that Rick and the others are behind them, that Carol has come back and they'll catch up soon. Maggie wonders the time table on restoring world order, Glenn tries to get more information, but Eugene shuts down, and is even more secretive. He may have Abraham and Rosita fooled, but does anyone really think mullet wearing, man-child Eugene has all the answers? If this plays out like the comics, readers already knows how this ends. Eugene goes over his normal speel talking big, and about weather patterns, until about all tune him out. He tells Rosita not to tease him over his hair, he was told it makes him look like a fun guy, and he is one. The bus speeds past a herd of walkers, when it blows a tire, flipping the bus onto its side, as the walkers approach.

Abraham beats man with a can. It's one heck of a scene in the supermarket, with a string of bodies. The group wakes up in the bus. Everyone looks to be okay for the most part. Glenn and Abraham make a plan to knock back the zombies, and clear a path for everyone else to get out, with Eugene and Tara taking up the rear when it's safe. Everyone gets out, except Eugene, who is stopped by a walker who breaks through the window. Tara brains the walker, and urges Eugene to be brave. She gives him her knife for added protection, telling him that she is right behind him. All around Eugene everyone is doing their part to take out the group, as Eugene clutches his knife in fear. He holds one walker as Tara takes care of it, and the other take out the rest. The group is winded, but all of the walkers are dispatched. Abraham orders Rosita to check Eugene, who claims that he's fine. Maggie turns to checkout what supplies survived the bus crash, right as the bus catches fire. Eugene suggests that they go back to the church, but Abraham refuses to go back. He wants the group to forge ahead. Glenn wants caution, but Abraham can't go back. Glenn is on board with it, and even Maggie is. Off they go again, by foot.

Past Abraham searches for Ellen. He finds her with two children. Now, armed, Abraham leads his group on. They make a fire inside of a building, looking for supplies. Rosita patches up Abraham, he goes for a sweep of the area by himself. He thanks Glenn for showing up. It took a little to convince him to come, and after the crash he could have left. Glenn made a deal, and he's sticking to it. They're risking a lot to get Eugene to Washington, even if they don't have all the answers. Later, Abraham and Rosita have sex loudly, and Eugene listens on. There's really not a way to avoid it. He and Tara chat. He's feeling a little hopeless, but she knows that they can make it. Eugene sabotaged the bus. Tara is shocked to hear his confession, and demands answers. Eugene knows that he cannot survive on his own. If he doesn't cure the world, he will have nothing, there will be no reason for them to protect them any longer. Tara promises to keep his secret. She will protect him, but he cannot pull another stunt like that again. He isn't sure why he even told her, but he needed to tells someone.

Maggie and Glenn think about how they almost died, and the journey that they're on. She's still processing what happened the previous night.

Past. Abraham is grateful for Ellen saving him, as she protects the two children behind her back. He tells her that she has no reason to fear him, but covered in blood he looks pretty scary, and his words comfort neither her nor the children.

Rosita looks over his wounds again. His hand looks pretty good, it doesn't look infected. She thinks that they should stay another night. Abraham wants to push on. She points out that they're pretty banged up, especially him. After everything, she does indeed want to go forward, but she wants to get there in one piece. Abraham thinks that she's stalling. Maggie has looked around. The store is in pretty good shape, they can make a good fort while they mend. There's no rest for the wicked. Across the street is a firetruck, and Abraham plans to take it.

Abraham gets the firetruck started. For once it looks like things are going their way. He pulls forward, and the truck dies. Abraham thinks about what repairs the truck needs, but he doesn't know all that much about the fire truck, as Rosita points out that the intake is actually on the roof. The truck moving opened door that had tapped a whole lot of walkers, and they pour out. Abraham, and Glenn leap out to take care of the horde, with Maggie, Tara and Rosita behind them. They're pretty overwhelmed when Eugene takes action armed with the fire hose. He takes out all of the walkers. Abraham is impressed, he's never seen anything like it. He climbs aboard the truck to clear out the intake and sees the sign painted on the ground warning of the sick inside too late to be of any help.

Past. Abraham sleeps on the floor. Ellen and the children are gone. There's a note that says not to go looking for them.

Abraham hums as he works, the firetruck is down again. Eugene reads. Maggie tries to chat with Eugene. She knows that he's not the person who people think he is, but he wants people to know who he is. He isn't like everyone else, and she thinks that most people in his position would have given up, but he hasn't. Glenn catches a horrible stench, and the wind picks up to where everyone smells it. The entire group goes to investigate the smell. Glenn and the others want to turn back, but Abraham doesn't want to detour. He wants to go straight through. He doesn't want to go back. There are too many walkers to get through the group thinks. The firetruck is compromised, the tank is empty. Abraham wants no compromises. He grabs ahold of Eugene and drags him back towards the truck with everyone else protesting and fighting. Eugene finally cracks and admits that he's not a scientist. He doesn't know how to stop anything. Pretty much everyone is horrified at the revelation. Rosita knows that he has to be a scientist, she's seen the things he can do. He's not, he just know things. He reasoned that DC was the best possible place he could survive, and he thought he'd be doing those people a favor getting them there too. Many people have died trying to get him there. The closer they got, the more he panicked, knowing that he would be exposed as a liar once they arrived. He also lied about his hair, no one ever said anything about his hair. Abraham punches Eugene a few times, and knocks him out. Abraham has reopened his cut, and Eugene doesn't look so good. Everything that he's strived for is gone, nothing more than a lie.

Past. Ellen and the children didn't get far. They all winded up dead, and Abraham was a broken man, considering suicide, when he spotted Eugene being chased, by a trio of walkers. Abraham kills all three walkers, and Eugene stops him from leaving him. He doesn't really want to hear it, but Eugene intrigues him with the announcement that he has a very important mission.

Walking Dead Recap S4E16: A

At the prison Carl and another open the gate, while Maggie, Glen and Rick return. Maggie kisses Hershel, and Rick checks in with Carl. Rick goes to help clear off the fences.

Now, Rick sits shaking and bloody watching.

Michonne sits in from of a fire, before they set off to check the snares. The plan is to rest for a few more days to heal up. They’re close to Terminus. Carl asks if when they get there if they will tell the people of Terminus the truth, but Carl isn’t so sure it’s a good idea. Rick plans to tell them who they are. Michonne kills a walker, and Rick collects a rabbit from his snare. He shows Carl how it works for the future. They hear some cries for help, and Rick takes off after them. Rick grabs Carl as the man screaming for help is over taken. There are too many walkers to take on, and the trio make a run for it. They find themselves between two groups of walkers, and they take on the smaller group.

Past. Hershel wakes Rick too early. Since he gave Glenn his watch he doesn’t know the time anymore. Beth takes Judith, and Hershel takes an unarmed Rick.

Now the trio kill the track walkers, and keep on trucking hoping to find some houses or somewhere with food. They find a SUV, with a single goblin of a walker nearby. Michonne takes care of the zombie, and Carl takes shelter into the SUV to rest in. Rick and Michonne camp out outside, and wonder the legitimacy of Terminus. It sounds too good to be true. Rick asks if she would let people in, and Michonne points out that they did.

Joe surprises Rick and holds him at gunpoint, telling him that he screwed up as Joe's men surround him. Um, no, Joe you just screwed up. Joe tells him it’s the day of reckoning. They were thinking of turning in for the night on New Years Eve when they spotted Rick and Michonne. Daryl arrives, and sees that they have Rick and Michonne held at gunpoint. He tells them to hold up. The group doesn’t want to talk, but Joe lets Daryl say his piece, how very diplomatic of him. Daryl tells him that the people are good people, and they should let them go. Daryl tells him if they want blood to take it from him. Joe looks perplexed, he tells him that Rick killed their friend, and Daryl’s claim that they are good people is a lie. The pack turns on Daryl for his "lie," and one of Joe’s thug’s pulls Carl from the car. Rick tells Joe that it was just him so take him and leave the rest. Joe tells him that first they will beat Daryl, kill him for his lie, then they will have the girl, then the kid, and then kill him. Rick goes into Rick mode, and beats at his captor. Michonne breaks away, and Carl fights back. Joe grabs Rick thinking he has the upper hand, until Rick tears out his neck with his teeth walker style. Michonne gets a gun and starts shooting men, and Daryl manages to kill a few scumbags too. Rick takes his time stabbing the one that held Carl as Michonne holds Carl.

Past.  Hershel proposed planting and domesticating horses and pigs. Rick agrees that it’s a good idea, but Hershel cannot do it alone. Rick tells him that they need him. Hershel tells him that Carl needs Rick to show him the way, that they need to decided what their life will be. Hershel owes Rick a great deal, and they have an opportunity to make things better. Rick thinks that changing things inside, doesn’t change the outside, it doesn’t but they can have a life.

Back to rick sitting outside the SUV bloody, and shaky. Inside, Michonne sits with Carl, watching him sleep. Daryl returns with a bottle of water, tells Rick to clean up. He admits that he didn’t know what the group was, that he was with Beth for awhile after the prison, until she was gone. After that the group found him, he knew they were bad, but they had a simple code, and he thought it was something, enough. He knew they were looking for a guy, he was planning on ditching them, when he saw that it was Rick, Michonne and Carl. Rick tells him that it isn’t on him, and that being back with them now is everything. Rick tells him he’s his brother. Daryl tells him that what he did last night, anyone would have done. Rick knows that not everyone would have. He will do anything to keep them safe, and that’s all that matters. Rick and Michonne walk together, Carl and Daryl take up the rear. She looks at him, and he tells her that he’s okay, and she knows, because she’s okay too. They find another sign, they’ll be there before sundown. Rick sends them into the woods to scout the group, since they know nothing about them.  They sneak around back, spread out to see what each see before heading back. Carl chooses to go with Michonne rather than stay with Rick. She tells carl that he never asksed how Andre died. They went to a refugee camp, and it got worse and woese, people were giving up all around. When she returned from a run she saw that the fences were down, the moaning all around. Mike and Terry were hiding when it all happened, she could have stopped it, but instead she turned them into her pets. They kept her safe, hid her as a monster umong them, She was gone for a long time, but Andrea brought her back, Rick brought her back, even Carl did. She tells him that she sees how he looks at his dad, ,and assures him that he doesn’t have to be afreaid of her or her dad. Carl tells her that his dad told him the other day that he was a good man, and he tries, but he still has bad thoughts. He doesn’t think that he is what his dad thinks he is, he;s a monster too.

Rick difs a hole and gides a cache of guns. Daryl watches in silence, and Rick tells him its just in case. The group climbs the fence and sneaks in. Daryl sees a woman doing the terminus broadcasting, and the group inside isn’t exactly surprised to see them inside, Albert is on perimeter watch they lament. Gary asks if they’re there to rob them, Rick says no they just wanted to check them out. Gary understands that they’re nervous, tells them that they came for sanctuary. They ask to see all the weapons before they take them for interviewing. They lay down their weapons and allow them to be searched. ____ tells Daryl that he’d hate to see the other guy, and Rick says that he would. Adam asks Carl if they deserved it, and he says they did. After the little pat down, they get their weapons back. Adam tells them a little about Terminus. It’s been there since almost the beginning. Adam brings them to Mary, who’s grilling up some food. Rick notices some familiar things: Glenn’s backpack, his riot gear, Daryl’s poncho that Maggie was wearing, and Hershel’s watch. He grabs Adam at gunpoint, no one takes Hershel’s watch, or messes with his friends

Past. Good old Patrick builds with some legos. Although they were grabbed for Carl, he’s more than happy to build with the child’s toy to get his mind off things. Carl cleans his gun. Rick tries to get his attention, he needs his help h tells him, and asks him to leave the gun behind.

Rick wants to know where he got the watch and the other items. Adam tells them that they got the watch from a dead guy, and had stories about where everything came from. Rick isn’t buying it, because it doesn’t match up with what he knows to be true. Someone gets twitchy takes a potshot, and Rick shoots Adam as all hell breaks loose. The foursome hold their own as they move to get away, but they find themselves trapped. Making it through the building they get outside, but the sniper isn’t all that good, or rather they’re leading them somewhere. They pass a pile of bones that are laid out in the sun to dry. Oh, they’re so leading them through their little mouse trap. They come to a room full of candles with names on the floor, the victims perhaps. Michonne doesn’t think that the Terminus people are trying to kill them. The foursome come to a fence full of people with guns, the chase is up.

The rooftop sniper orders them to drop their weapons, and have them surrounded, they really have no choice. Rick drops his and the others follow suit. He tells Rick to go to the train car, and that if he cooperates, the boy can go too, otherwise he dies, and Rick goes anyways. Rick heads towards the train car, they tell Daryl to go next, followed by Michonne. They stand before the door, but they don’t go in. Rick wants his son, and finally they tell Carl to go. Rick wants to wait for Carl, but the sniper wants Rick to lead the group in. Rick opens the door, and they file in, with Carl bringing up the rear. The train door is closed, and its happy reunion time. It’s Glenn, and they see it’s also Maggie, Bob, Tara, Sasha and three they don’t know: Abraham, Earl and Rosita. Maggie tells them that they’re friends, they helped save them. Daryl tells them then they’re friends of theirs too, Abraham agrees for however that will be.

Rick shows Carl how to farm, but gives his hat to Beth when it gets in Carl's way. Hershel tells him that it can be like that all the time, it’s a happy time.

Rick tells the group they’re going to feel pretty stupid when they find out. Find out what Abraham asks. They’re screwing with the wrong people Rick answers. Looks like rick is ready to unleash a monster, but we’ll have to wait until October to find out. Did you all enjoy the season finale as much as I did?

Walking Dead Recap S4E15 : Us

Eugene ponders that this current infection killed off the dinosaurs, not that he believed it, but thinks it would be an interesting idea. He’s chatting up Tara, who found a penny, and she gives it to him. He chatters almost nonstop, and when they make camp that night she takes the watch, but Abraham doesn’t trust her with Eugene’s life. He tells her to get some sleep, she hasn’t slept since they’ve all been together.  He thought Tara was in love with Glenn, but he knows that her interest lies elsewhere with the way she’s been checking out Rosita. He asks her if her guilt is about something that she did or didn’t do. It was something she did she confesses, but she doesn’t explain. She asks instead what to do when the mission is over. The next morning, Eugene continues to yak about batteries, when they spot one of Maggie’s signs. It’s signed Maggie, Sasha and Bob. Glenn takes off running down the tracks. With Maggie so close, he can’t stop.

Daryl’s little group gets a visit by a walker who walks straight into their trap. They take care of him quickly, but it was enough to wake them all. They see that Daryl is gone, but not for long, he left his stuff.

Rick notices that their supplies are running low, as Carl and Michonne play games on the railroad tracks. Carl wins the game, and Michonne’s candy bar, but he shares with her, which puts a smile on Rick’s face.

Daryl is out hunting rabbits, when Len takes a shot at Daryl’s hare. He lies claim on Daryl’s rabbit, and threatens him. Daryl maintains that it isn’t his, and Len thinks that it’s a girl that has him messed up in the head. He’s partially right, but he says that the little ones don’t last long out here. Daryl pulls his knife, and Joe breaks them up before it turns ugly. He explains that they group uses the word “claimed” to claim their stuff to prevent a fight. Len wants Joe to punish Daryl for not following the rules, but Joe points out that it isn’t fair to punish Daryl for a rule he didn’t know about. Joe halves the rabbit this time.

Abraham sees a tower, and wants to stop for the night. Glenn doesn’t want to stop now that he knows Maggie is close, but Abraham insists. A trust fall walker makes a leap for the party, and Abraham knocks down Tara in his effort to save Eugene, injuring Tara’s knee. They kill the walker, and Tara is fine, but limping. Glenn is ready to press on, and Tara says she can still walk. Rosita points out that Tara will do whatever he tells her because she thinks she owes him, but he can wait a few hours so she can rest. Glenn wants to go to sundown, and he’s willing to give Eugene his riot gear to keep him safe which is Rosita’s and Abraham’s main objective. Rosita wants to argue further, but Abraham intervenes, if Tara says she can walk, they keep on.

Daryl makes it clear that he doesn’t plan to stay with the group. Joe wants Daryl to stay with them. Says that they don’t have to be friendly, or brothers in arms, but they have some simple rules to live by. The hardened men can stick together and survive. Daryl tells him that there is no us, but he isn’t leaving yet. The group finds a building to stay in for the night. Joe tells him that there isn’t anything sadder than an outdoor cat who thinks he’s an indoor cat.

Glenn, Tara, Abraham, Rosita and Eugene continue their trek. They’re catching up Glenn says. Maggie’s latest message is still wet. Abraham wants to take the day and make a detour around the death tunnel, but since Maggie went in, Glenn plans to as well. This is where they part Abraham tells them, too worried about Eugene’s safety. Abraham gives Glenn some rations, and Rosita says her goodbyes. Eugene has a little crush on Tara, but she tells him that she likes girls, which he knew. Abraham advises that if they get in trouble to turn back, that they’re going back to the road to look for a ride. Tara and Glenn head into the tunnel. Glenn tells her about when it all started when he first lost his family he was numb. Tara opens up about Brian. Telling him that finding her girlfriend, her family dead it all wasn’t as bad as what he did to Maggie’s father. Brian had warned that they may have to kill people, and Tara was on board, but she wasn’t prepared for that.

The group open up the garage, it looks all clear. The place has been empty for a long time, all the gas is long gone. The guys go around and claim all the vehicles to sleep in. Daryl makes himself comfortable on the ground.

Glenn and Tara come across some walkers trapped by a recent cave in. Glenn inspects the faces, none of them are Maggie. They kill the walkers on their climb to the top. The tunnel is full of walkers on the other side of the cave in. The walkers begin to climb the rubble, and Tara panics, but Glenn is relieved. Since Maggie isn’t among the walkers it means that she made it through.

Abraham, Rosita and Eugene find a few cars on the road. Abraham kills a walker, and finds a working car. It needs to be aired out, but it runs. Rosita takes the time to figure out a new route. Eugene insists on being the navigator, cajoling her until she finally gives in. She hands over the map, and makes it clear they’re headed North.

Glenn sets his light to shine on the walkers distracting them so that he and Tara can sneak by, but she slips on some rubble which traps one of her feet.

Abraham sleeps while Rosita climbs. Eugene gives her bad directions she thinks. At the tracks he yells at her to stop the van and realizes that he lied to them. This was his plan all along. She asks what the hell is wrong with him. He figures that if Tara and Glenn survived, then they should be around there. Rosita tells him that they are not the priority, but he doesn’t want to leave Tara and Glenn behind. Abraham awakens and bickers with Rosita, until Eugene interrupts them with something he sees.

Len accuses Daryl of stealing his half of the rabbit. He wants Daryl to empty his bag, and Joe intervenes again. Daryl says that he didn’t take the rabbit, but Len insists that he did. Joe empties the bag, and the rabbit is inside. Len wants Darryl punished. Joe points out that either Daryl is lying or Len is, Joe orders Len to be punished for lying. He saw him put the rabbit into Daryl’s bag, and he let Len play out his plan. The group kicks the crap out of Len, and Daryl gets both halves of the Rabbit, karma at its finest. Maybe that’ll teach everyone not to mess with Daryl.

Tara’s foot is good and trapped, and she tells Glenn to leave her behind, yells at him to do so, but he refuses. He uses what bullets he has left against the incoming zombie horde, but its not enough. Just as they close in head lights appear, and a group opens fire on the zombies. With all of the zombies dead Maggie goes running into Glenn’s arms. Awww. Reunited with Maggie, Glenn cannot be happier. Rosita tells them that the tunnel is secure. Glenn introduces Maggie to Tara, but doesn’t tell her of her prison involvement. He tells Maggie that he met Tara on the road, and she did everything she could to help him, because she’s that kind of person. Maggie warmly embraces her. Sasha freaks out a little after Abraham tells her that Eugene knows what caused the outbreak. Abraham thinks they should head to Washington together, and Tara wants to go to. Eugene thinks it’s a bad idea, they had an armored vehicle before, and now he thinks that they should go to Terminus, and regroup. Sasha and Bob agree, and plan to join him after they see if Tyreese is in Terminus. Even Abraham finds logic in his thinking. Maggie and Glenn came back together against all odds, and Maggie finds the picture Glenn has carried of her sleeping this whole time. She goes to burn it, but Glenn stops her. But she tells him that he won’t need a picture of her, because he’ll never lose it again, and he helps her burn it.

Daryl awakens the next morning, and the group heads out, one less than the day before. Len’s body was dumped out back like the trash he was, and Daryl considers stopping to cover it for a second. Joe shares a drink with Daryl. He hasn’t been up this early since everything fell apart, but Joe thinks things are falling together. Daryl sees the sign for Terminus and they’re getting closer to it. Daryl asks if he’s seen it, and Joe says that its not the sanctuary he thinks it is. Daryl asks if they’re headed to Terminus, taking an interest in the group’s direction Joe thinks. But Joe tell him that they aren’t there, they’re headed after Rick for killing one of their own in a house, and leaving him to turn on them, which he did. Joe didn’t get a good look at Rick, but they found his trail leading to the tracks easy enough.

Glenn, Maggie and the rest finally make it to the gates of Terminus. They pass through the gates and there’s a garden. They better hope that Carol doesn’t make it there, there are far too many flowers in front. Don’t look at the flowers! They pass through another gate, and all seems quiet and peaceful .This place is too good to be true. A single woman is outside cooking, Mary welcomes them with a friendly smile. Don’t trust the smile, the Governor had a nice inviting smile too, and we all know how that turned out.

Walking Dead Recap S4E11: Claimed

The zombies try to get balloons off of a street sign. Tara and presumably Glen roll in with Abraham and Co. The truck is too high for the walkers to reach, but that doesn’t stop them from trying. Before Tara can fire her gun and clear the side of the truck. Abraham stops her, and uses his tire iron to dispatch them. Tara watches as he takes care of them, a little in awe. He enjoys killing way too much. He tells Tara he’s the luckiest guy in the world, and the two of them go to move some cars blocking their path.

Carl eats his cereal, and laughs at Michonne’s new duds. She finishes the last of the cereal, and wishes for soy milk. Carl is not a fan and he mentions some of the things that he would rather have, when he slips about Judith’s formula, he has to leave. Rick thanks Michonne for helping Carl to laugh, he can’t be his father and best friend. Michonne is up for the task, and she wants to know the next step. Rick wants to stay put while they figure out the next step. Michonne tells him to rest while she looks for supplies, that he needs to regain his strength, atleast one more day. Michonne and Carl head out. Carl looks sad, and pretends it’s the hunger that’s gotten him down. The pair head out, and Rick locks up. He finds himself a book, a bed, and hopefully a nap.

Carl and Michonne dig through the houses. The biggest score seems to be the spray cheese, but carl isn’t enthusiastic about it. He tells her he’s just tired. Michonne goes to town on the cheese trying to make him laugh, but he doesn’t even crack a smile. She tells him that she doesn’t know how to make boys his age laugh, which brings about the question of children. She opens up and tells him that she had a son and he found her very funny. This brings on a barrage of questions. She agrees to answer his questions after they clear the house.

Rick awakens to voices in the house. Please be Abraham, please be Abraham! Rick check his watch, and spots them clearing the house. He hides under the bed. The bed of all places, cause no one looks under the bed. Hiding all signs of his being there, the room he’s in is searched, and they completely miss Rick. Rick’s watch click too loudly before he manages to silence it, but the soldier searching doesn’t hear it, instead he makes himself at home on the bed above Rick.

Carl asks Michonne about her son, his name, and Michonne doesn’t answer at first, but Carl points out that he cleared one room. She tells him her son’s name was Andre. He asks her if she had any others, but she doesn’t answer him until he clears another room. Cleared, she tells him no, Andre was a handful and her one and only. He clears another room, and asks her how she lost him. The only thing he found was a painting, she accepts it. And she tells him that it happened when everything went bad. She’s never told anyone else, not even rick. And carl tells her that her secret is safe with him, even if its not a secret. She unwraps the painting, and it looks like a portrait that’s been horribly altered. Michonne creeps around, Kitana at the ready, looking for the little girl in the house. She finds a little girls room, and everyone is dead inside, not zombie dead, just dead dead. The mother killed all the children and then herself. She shuts the door before Carl can see it. Carl thinks that there’s a baby in the room, but she tells him only a doll. He looks on the bright side, hoping that baby Judith is with Andrea and Mom somewhere. Why would anyone wish that kind of hell on anyone?

Rick waits, as the soldier sleeps above him, and another comes in. He wants the larger bed, and the two scuffle over the bed. The one spots Rick, but he can’t say anything as his partner chokes the life out of him as Rick watches. The new guy crawls into bed, and still rick lies there.

Glen awakens in the back of the truck. Tara tells him that she thought it was safer than on the side of the road. Glen asks about the bus, and Tara tells him that they passed the bus three hours ago, and that everyone was dead. Glen gets Abraham to stop the truck, and Abraham isn’t happy about it. He tells him that he’s on a time sensitive mission, and that they need to bind together. Glen doesn’t care about any mission that he’s on, but Abraham explains further. Eugene knows exactly what started the zombie apocalypse, and they’re taking him to Washington to stop it. Hello, Walking Dead plot point, its nice to see you. That bit of information stops Glen for a second. But they can’t tell him anything more, its classified. Abraham tells him that they’ve been trying to reach the muckity mucks in Washington, via satellite phones, but they’ve lost contact. Tara tells him that she  had to do something, that they were out of bullets, but that she will help him get back to the bus, she knows the way. Abraham tells Glen that there is a zero chance to find Maggie, that she’s gone. Glen punches Abraham, knocking him down. He’ll find Maggie. Abraham tries to choke out Glen, and the two scuffle, leaving the doctor as the only one with a gun, fumbling around with it. He lets out a spray of bullets, wasting plenty, before Abraham and Rosita can assist. All the walkers are taken care of, but worse, so is their truck.

Rick crawls out from beneath the bed, with the sleeping man above him still snoring away. The group inside is making all sorts of racket, one calls to the sleeping one telling him to come down. Rick does another ridiculously obvious hiding spot, behind a book case and again is unseen. Rick makes a move, but one of the men comes back, and Rick ducks into the bathroom stumbling upon one on the pot. There’s a quiet tussle, but Rick manages to choke the man with his own gun strap.

Rick finally finds a window that will open. He grabs the man’s gun and things, and crawls out. It’s a long drop down, but Rick takes it like a champ, landing on his feet. Down the stairs and he’s in the home stretch, with none the wiser. Rick makes for the front yard, and waits.

Abraham tries to make repairs to the truck as the other stand around listening to his story. The truck is practically indestructible, and still the Dr. Eugene managed to shoot it up. Rosita gives Glen back the picture he dropped. Glen gives Abraham back the gun, and heads back towards the bus, with Tara following him. Rosita joins the cause, its clear that way at least. Dr. Eugene thinks it’s a good idea too, and Abraham reluctantly follows.

Rick waits as one of them comes out to the porch. Just as he’s about to strike a walker interrupts the men. Perfect timing, Michonne, and Carl have returned, and the three of them run off.

Abraham tries to make Tara believe in his cause, but he understands why she follows Glen, he respects her good heart, but wonders how long Glen will be happy even if he finds Maggie. She tells him that he doesn’t know her and she doesn’t know him. She knows why Eugene is going, and Rosita would follow him anywhere. She doesn’t understand why he’s going though. His motives don’t add up.

Rick, Carl, and Michonne follow the railroad tracks, they come across a sign promising sanctuary, and they take the chance and head towards it.

Walking Dead Recap S4E10: Inmates

We’ve seen the fates of Rick, Carl and Michonne, but what of our other favorites from the prison, cough cough, Daryl? Beth drew the long straw and got Daryl as her companion, and although paradise has been lost with the prison compromised, she’s got a chance. As she and Daryl run from the zombies in the aftermath of governor’s raid, they’re exhausted, and as her voice over talks about having hope and living in the safety of the prison for the rest of her life, well maybe, just maybe she shouldn’t have unpacked her back back after all.

Beth and Daryl try to figure out their next move. Beth knows that they aren’t the only ones out there. The loss of the prison has hit Daryl the hardest. While she’s all gungho to find the others, he’s stoic. She wants to find them and now, and he lets her go off, but not far before he follows her into the dark of night. They track through the morning. The tracks they find are hours old, but Beth keeps up hope that they’re still alive. Daryl sees that the pace was picked up, that things went south quickly. Beth stops to pick up grapes, and although Daryl acts insensitive, he still lends her his bandana for her grapes. The trail leads them to some fallen walkers, and one that’s more lively. It grabs Beth, and Daryl can’t get a clear shot. He grabs it off of her, and she finishes it off. They find some railroad tracks and some walkers feeding. Daryl finishes them off, and Beth spots a child’s shoe in the carnage. Beth has a little breakdown, but Daryl pushes them forward. Beth burns the pages of her journal.

Lizzie and Mika have Tyreese and baby Judith with them as they traipse the woods. Lizzie keeps Mika strong, but Mika wants Carol. Lizzie points out to Tyreese that it’s going to get darks soon, but Tyreese wants to go just a bit further. Ah the spot that Daryl and Beth found, where this group made camp. Baby Judith cries, and the group tries to quiet her. Lizzie gets a bottle ready for Judith, and just as she gets quiet Mika hears the walkers, and they make a break for it. The group comes to the grape vines, and Mika and Lizzie stuff their mouths. Judith’s cries have Tyreese stumped, and Mika grabs at Tyreese’s cut. Mika runs at some noise, and Tyreese and Lizzie run after her. Mika sees that she reopened his arm. Mika thinks of herself as the Sasha to Tyreese, but Lizzie points out that Sasha is dead. Wow, that little girl is harsh. They hear some cries in the distance, and Tyreese tells the girls to stick together, and he’ll be back soon, but he needs to check on them first.  Mika doesn’t want him to go, but he has to try.

Tyreese finds the group at the tracks, and jumps in to help. Judith cries, and Lizzie covers her mouth to quiet her. The group at the tracks is taken out one by one, and Tyreese can’t save them. Mika shoots at the walkers, but they get closer. The last man in the track group is bitten, before Tyreese can warn him of the walker behind him. He kills the walker, and Carol calls out from behind him. She has the girls with her. The bitten man from the tracks, tell them that if they follow the tracks they will find safety. Carol doesn’t want to stay on the tracks because of the lack of coverage, but he insist, telling them of a town. Mika tells Tyreese that she didn’t run. Carol has some water and food, and Tyreese passes it out. Tyreese tells her that he didn’t see her get out, and she tells him that she hadn’t gotten back yet, that she only saw the end of what happened at the prison, but that she’d been tracking them. The girls find the sign for the safe town that they were told about.

Maggie, Sasha and Bob are in another group. Bob smiles, and apologies for it. She tells him its okay to be happy to be alive, but he reminds her that Tyreese could still be out there. She doesn’t think anyone is. She gives Maggie the update on Bob, and she wants to stay put in the safe haven they found, but Maggie is on a mission. She lost Beth, but she knows that Glen got out, so she’s out to find him. Sasha doesn’t want to split up, but Maggie isn’t taking no for an answer. Bob follows Maggie, and Sasha has no choice but to follow even though she’d rather be looking for food and shelter. Maggie walks with determination, until they find the bus. She pushes forward, and Bob and Sasha have to run to keep up. The bus is too quiet, and a closer look shows its full of walkers. Maggie tells Sasha she should go. They try to stop her, but she has to know if Glen is inside. Bob decides that they will let them out one at a time. Sasha and Bob let them out, and Maggie kills them. So far no Glen. The walkers come too fast, and Sasha loses control of the door. The walkers come pouring out and the trio kill them all, but still no Glen. Maggie climbs aboard the bus to see if there is anyone else on it. It’s a bloody mess inside. There’s one last walker inside, and Maggie frees it to see who it is, but it isn’t Glen. Maggie breaks down in the front seat, Glen is still out there somewhere.

Glen awakens still in the prison. He’s alive, and barely out of reach of the walkers, but he’s surrounded and Maggie is no where in site. Glen heads back into the prison. It’s quiet and empty, and just a tad smoky from the tank blasts. Glen heads to the bed that he shared with Maggie, and finds his prison riot gear still there. He lies down on his bed, and finds the picture of a sleeping Maggie still next to his bed. Glen holds it and cries. Don’t worry, you’ll find her. With new determination, Glen regroups, and grabs weapons, liquor, and food. The man is on a mission now. Dressed in his riot gear, he walks out into the zombie fray, in relative safety. As he makes his way out of the prison, he spots Tara. She’s safe behind a fence, but without help there’s no way she’ll make it out. In fact, she doesn’t even seem to notice his passing.

Glen gets inside her cage, and takes her gun, and she doesn’t even try to stop him. Her gun is full, she never even fired a shot. He tries to get her to go with him, but she’s full of guilt over choosing the wrong side, but there’s no time for blame. He tells her he needs her help, and he gives her back her gun as he prepares his maltov cocktail. He throws it at a nearby car to draw in the zombies. He tells Tara to stay ahead of him and that he’ll cover her. She runs, and he’s right behind her as they make their way out of the prison. Tara didn’t see anyone get out, she saw her sister die. Tara tells Glen that she trusted the Governor, and then she saw him kill the old man. Glen can’t believe Hershel is gone. She says that Brian told them that the people in the prison were bad people, but she knows now that it wasn’t true. Glen is still in shock over hearing that Hershel is gone. Tara’s guilt is too much, but Glen still needs her to help him find his wife. Tara asks how he knows that she’s still alive, and he doesn’t. He knows that Hershel was a great man, who taught him that all he needs to do is believe, and he does. Tara doesn’t quite believe yet, but he tells her that she has to. Walkers catch up to them, and Glen meets them head on, he kills most of them, but the strain is too much for his still weakened body. Glen passes out and Tara kills the last walker when an Army truck pulls up. Out comes Sergeant Abraham Ford, Dr. Eugene Porter, and Rosita Espinosa and they are cast perfectly! I cannot wait for next week. If you’re a comic reader you know exactly who this trio is, and just how awesome they are.
