Fans Can Indulge In Screenings, Live-Streaming, and Freebies Galore
Adult Swim is back and ready for fans to dive into new and unexpected experiences at San Diego Comic-Con this month. Fans will get a first look at all-new programming at celebrity-filled panels and enjoy free signings featuring series stars, creators and producers from Robot Chicken and Rick and Morty, a new animated series The Jellies! from Tyler, The Creator and Lionel Boyce, and the knock-out hit series Mike Tyson Mysteries. The hottest spot on the bay is back with the Adult Swim On the Green experience, featuring free games, activities, tons of giveaways, and live-streaming from the stars of AdultSwim.com.
Come spend a leisurely afternoon at Adult Swim On the Green! It’s free, it’s fun and right behind the convention center at 5th Avenue Landing and Convention Way, Thursday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Come relax on the back of a ferocious beast gallivanting through It’s A Fish Hole, get a six-minute mind massage from the upgraded Meatwad Dome 4D Experience – now with motion seats, or visit the oversized Claw Machine sponsored by State Farm®, which dispenses endless goodies geared towards maximizing the Con experience. This year’s green features all-new games, friends, prizes, fun, streams (of the live variety), motorized animals, a tarot card reader, dart throwing, and a must-have on the sun-drenched bay - shade. When the sun goes down, fans can come and unwind with free screenings. Nighttime is the right time to stare into the future at Adult Swim’s Nighttime On The Green with screenings featuring the latest series and pilots from 8:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. with lineup starting at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday enjoy Toonami Pre-Flight previewing behind-the-scenes content of our popular anime programming block alongside hosts Jason DeMarco, Gill Austin, Steve Blum (Voice of TOM), and Dana Swanson (Voice of SARA). Friday, the unknown will be revealed at “Things You’ve Never Seen,” a night of specials and original pilots, brought to fans by SNICKERS®. Blankets, chocolate and surprises provided.
The frenzy over last year’s Rick and Morty screening demanded we go bigger. This year, Old Spice will be helping even more fans get their burning questions answered with a special evening featuring creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland at Petco Park on Saturday night from 7:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Need even more Rick and Morty? The #Rickmobile will be rolling all over San Diego all week long. Track the mad scientist’s movements online as the custom mobile pop-up shop stocked with exclusive Rick and Morty items makes its way across Southern California.
Even if you need a ride there, Adult Swim is joining forces with SNICKERS® to unveil a fleet of vehicles wrapped with custom artwork from our hit streaming show FishCenter. - Nerd HQ announces additional panelists for “Conversations for a Cause,” the very popular philanthropic series of un-moderated panels taking place at Nerd HQ 2013 in San Diego July 18th-21st in a new location, Petco Park (100 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101) Gaslamp Gate.
- The first round of panels went on sale last week and sold out in minutes.
- Newly announced panels include “Fannibal Meetup with Bryan Fuller, Hugh Dancy and David Slade,” “Signing with the legendary Jim Lee of DC Entertainment,” “Adult Swim Panel featuring cast members from NTSF and Children’s Hospital,” “A Conversation with Evangeline Lilly,” “Kick Ass 2 Panel and Signing,” “Tiny Commando featuring Ed Helms, Gillian Jacobs, Ryan McFaul and Zachary Levi,” “A Conversation with NASA/JPL Mars Curiosity Rover” and “A Conversation with Zachary Levi and Mystery Guests.” Tickets will be $22 each and go on sale today, July 16, beginning at 12 p.m. PDT and rolling-out throughout the day.

Adult Swim and State Farm® have partnered to get Comic-Con International fans to a better state – of cosplay. Building on last year’s successful program, the two companies today announced a series of activations that will debut at this week’s annual fan event in San Diego and will provide a unique experience to Adult Swim fans and boost their convention experience. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, Adult Swim will distribute at its booth (#3721) a custom, premium pamphlet filled with details on the network’s panels, events and off-site activations throughout the event. Randomly included in select pamphlets during the first day will be 10 “Adult Swim’s Get to a Better State Sweepstakes” golden tickets, which will grant one lucky fan plus one guest V.I.P. status for a host of Adult Swim happenings at this year’s con, including guaranteed seating at the network’s show panels, streamlined access to the Adult Swim Funhouse and free tickets to The Eric Andre Show Live! + Hot Package Live! performance at the House of Blues on Saturday, July 20. Full rules, including eligibility, will be available at the Adult Swim booth (#3721) and online at AdultSwimPresents.com.
Adding to the Comic-Con experience, and new for this year, Adult Swim’s Costume Contest – presented by State Farm will encourage and reward fans for dressing up as their favorite Adult Swim original characters, tapping in to an already common practice at this and other conventions throughout the country. The contest will be featured on a co-branded website at adultswimpresents.com, and can be accessed one of four ways: fans can upload their photos both through their computers and the Adult Swim mobile app, as well as via Facebook and Instagram using #ADULTSWIMCONTEST to have their photos entered in to a photo gallery on the site. Additionally, there is an on-site component where fans in Adult Swim costumes will have the opportunity to enter the contest on the spot. Fans not attending Comic-Con can also submit their best “selfies” online through July 28. One grand prize winner will be chosen by a panel of judges at Adult Swim based on four criteria: creativity, originality, recognize-ability and fit with the Adult Swim sensibility. The winner will be chosen on or around July 29 and will win a grand prize of $1000 plus a free V.I.P. trip to Williams Street in Atlanta and have their costume featured in a national television spot.
Adult Swim’s Costume Contest – presented by State Farm will be promoted on-site throughout the four-day event with branding included in the premium pamphlet handed out to fans. Additionally, while fans stand in line to enter the Adult Swim Funhouse, a truly-unique experience located in the nearby Petco Park parking lot, costumed characters will hand out State Farm-branded eggs which include a limited-edition, commemorative Adult Swim Funhouse pin.
